The B.I.T. Band (The Best in Town) has been performing together since 2004 specialising in music for special events such as weddings, conventions and galas. Their vast repertoire makes them the ideal band for any situation be it for concerts, gala events, cocktails, dinner music or dance music. All the musicians are Tuscan born except for the vocalist who is Canadian (fluent in English, Italian and French) and has been living in Florence for over 25 years. They have performed at many high profile private parties such as Mayor Domenici’s wedding (former Mayor of Florence), at fashion designer Gucciardini’s Spring Ball, Ben Lewis’s 60th Birthday party (former chief financial advisor Goldman Sachs), Peter Arnell’s Wedding (founder of Arnell Group) with guests such as Tina Turner.

Each member of the band has also had years of individual experience performing in popular venues, festivals and concert halls and as session musicians for several Italian and International recording and touring artists such as Raf, Biagio Antonacci, Irene Grandi, Dirotta su Cuba, Patti Smith, Laura Pausini e Andrea Bocelli.

Their repertoire covers the classic jazz standards ’20’s - ‘50’s with repertoire sung by Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan up to more contemporary jazz artists such as Diana Krall, Norah Jones, Amy Whinehouse and Michel Bublé. Their dance music covers Motown, Soul, R n’B and music from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s as well as some contemporary artists such as Rihanna, Adele, Beyoncé, Jess Glynne, Bruno Mars, Pharrell Williams and Coldplay.

Their musicianship and professionalism with a good dose of “Tuscan flare” has made them one of the most sought after bands in Italy.

I membri del gruppo provengono tutti da anni di attività professionale e da ogni tipo di esperienza musicale; come session-man/turnisti, vantano pubblicazioni e tour con numerosi artisti italiani e internazionali come Raf, Biagio Antonacci, Irene Grandi, Dirotta su Cuba e Patti Smith, Laura Pausini e Andrea Bocelli.

La parte più soft e acustica del repertorio comprende i classici standard della tradizione Jazz (Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan) ma anche canzoni Pop di autori più moderni (Norah Jones, Amy Whinehouse e Michel Bublé) e della tradizione italiana. Per il ballo si spazia dal genere Motown, Rn’B, Soul e degli anni ’60 - ’70 fino alla dance ’80 e ’90 e a brani contemporanei (Rihanna, Adele, Beyoncé, Jess, Glynne, Bruno Mars, Pharrell Williams e Coldplay).
